This module takes an interdisciplinary approach to the management of natural resources in emerging and developing economies. It is structured in three main parts: a) theories and approaches to development and development interventions, b) approaches to understand the particular challenges of natural resource management in developing and emerging economies, and c) practical examples from different regions in the world of how interventions aim to solve environmental as well as social and economic challenges. During the course, students will develop a scientific conference about the management of natural resources in emerging economies where they will present their work on a particular topic of interest.
